Dodge County Crash Takes The Life Of One

A two-vehicle accident Saturday afternoon sent three people to the hospital, with the driver of one of the vehicles passing away as a result of injuries received in the crash. Dodge County Sheriff’s Deputies were called out Saturday afternoon at 12:30 p.m. for reports of an accident on State Highway 60, near Jefferson Rd., in the Town of Rubicon, located about 3 miles west of Hartford.

The preliminary investigation showed a small SUV, driven by a 40-year old Neosho man, was headed east, lost control and entered the westbound lane, and was struck broadside by a pickup truck heading west. The 50-year old male driver from Horicon and his 11-year old son were transported to the hospital where they were treated and released.

Road conditions, blowing snow and wind were all factors in the crash, with the investigation still in progress. Highway 60 was closed for almost two hours following the crash.
