Dodge County Drug Dealer Avoids Prison Sentence

A member of a Dodge
County
drug ring has been
convicted of selling heroin, but will not spend any time in prison. 24-year old
Herman Jones was sentenced to five years probation with another nine months in
the Dodge County Jail.

Jones was convicted in July of one count of delivery of
heroin and another count for delivery of cocaine. Six additional felony counts
were dismissed but read into the record.

Prosecutors say he was the right hand
man to Lacresha Lightfoot – who is serving six years in prison for running the
drug ring. A judge argued that if Jones went to prison – he would come out
worse than he went in. He has already served seven months in the Dodge County
Jail prior to his sentencing.
