Dodge County Fatal Accident

Dodge County Sheriff’s officials say a 53-year-old Mayville woman was killed Thursday morning when she failed to yield the right of way to another vehicle. She was on Highway 49 and was turning onto County Highway Z when she was struck by a vehicle being driven by a 48-year-old Waupun woman. The Waupun woman was taken to a hospital with non-life threatening injuries. The drivers were the sole occupants of those vehicles. The accident was reported shortly after 8:30 that morning.

One person was killed in a fatal traffic accident near Waupun Thursday morning.  Dodge County Sheriff’s officials say they received a call shortly after 8:30 about a two-vehicle crash at Highway 49 and County Highway Z.  The preliminary investigation showed the victim failed to yield the right-of-way while turning onto Highway Z and was struck by an eastbound vehicle.  The eastbound driver was taken to a hospital with non-life threatening injuries.  There were no passengers in either car.  Traffic was blocked for over an hour as the site was being investigated.
