Dodge County Investigates Accident, Death
The Dodge County Sheriff’s Department continues to investigate an accident that is likely connected to the death of the man that is the registered owner of the vehicle involved in the accident.
A Dodge County Sheriff’s Deputy located and unoccupied vehicle at 6:46 a.m. Friday (2/18/2022) in a farm field by CTH DJ near Shady Lane, in the Town of Oak Grove. The vehicle sustained minor but disabling damage. Deputies attempted contact at the Hustisford residence of the 32 year old registered owner of the vehicle, but nobody was home.
Over 9 hours later, at approximately 3:20 PM, it was reported that an unresponsive male was found on the ground, about 2/3 mile away from the crash scene. Deputies and EMS responded to the scene but the male was pronounced dead by the Dodge County Medical Examiner. The male was confirmed to be the registered owner of the vehicle involved in the earlier crash.
The crash remains under investigation by the Dodge County Sheriff’s Office and the Dodge County Medical Examiner’s Office.
