Dodge County Sex Offender Sent Back To Sand Ridge

One of the two sex offenders, whose release to a Brownsville residence sparked controversy, is going back to a state treatment facility. A Dodge County judge this morning disapproved of the supervised release of 57-year-old Robert Larson after hearing testimony from the Department of Health Services and Sheriff Dale Schmidt. Sheriff’s deputies took him into custody for transport back to Sand Ridge Secure Treatment. A more suitable location for supervised release will be sought in the County. The June 1st release of Larson and 29-year-old Jonathan Miller came under fire after it was learned they would be living within a couple hundred feet of where 11-year-old twins live. Miller will continue living at the residence in Brownsville on State Highway 49 until a hearing is held in his case. Both sex offenders have abided by rules set by the Department of Health Services for their release.
