Dole Announces Recall of Baby Spinach Products Sold in WI, Nine Other States
Dole Fresh Vegetables is recalling a limited number of
cases of baby spinach for possible salmonella contamination. Affected products were
sold in Wisconsin, Illinois, Indiana, Michigan and six other states. Dole says
the recall is being made out of precaution, and that no illnesses have been reported
in association with the recall.
The products being recalled are 6 ounce Dole Baby Spinach
Bag and a 10 ounce Dole Baby Spinach Clamshell – both products have use-by
dates of August 5th of this year. Since the product has passed its
expiration date, they should no longer be on store shelves. Consumers are asked
to check product they have in their homes, and throw away any products matching
the recalled items.
