Donations Still Needed for FDL Humane Society Capital Campaign

The Fond du Lac Humane Society says they’re still in need
of donations to their capital campaign to help finish work on the project that’s
brought a new animal shelter and a number of other improvements to their
property on Triangle Road. Shelter Manager Renee Webb tells us they still need to
raise about $350-thousand dollars to finish the project, and mentions they rely
on support from the community to continue operating. “It’s the donations from
the community, it’s the fundraising, you know – just a whole lot of people in
the area that believe in what we do, and believe in taking good care of
homeless, neglected and abused animals, and that’s what we do,” she said. This
week, demolition began on the old shelter building, which will eventually make
way for additional parking, outside dog yards and a walking path. To make a
monetary donation, visit the Humane Society’s website or stop by the shelter.
