Donna Richards Runs For FDL City Council

A former North Fond du Lac Village Clerk is among the five candidates running for four seats on the Fond du Lac City Council. Donna Richards has been involved in other efforts since that including voter registration drives, the move to get big corporations out of politics and has served on Fond du Lac City and County Housing Authorities. Richards feels things in the City could be better. She says, “While we might be called flourishing I think we in some ways are dying when we look at the businesses we’ve lost and the restaurants we’ve lost and people don’t earn enough money to go out. All of that has to be boosted.” She believes with the natural resources Fond du Lac has there is no reason why it can’t be like Door County. She says, “One of the things in my program is to try and get a community center and a museum together so that we have more attractions for folks and places for people to sit down and gather and organize themselves.” Richards says people would also like to see the transit run longer hours and the return of curbside pick up of brush and bulky waste. She feels a vote for her on April 3rd would be a vote for maturity and experience.(Donna Richards Facebook photo)
