Double Digit COVID-19 Cases Confirmed Over Weekend In FDL County

It seems like 3 steps forward and 2 steps back for Fond du Lac County as it relates to COVID-19. 26 new cases were confirmed over the weekend, bringing the county total to 402. For the week, there were 67 new cases. The updated numbers as of Monday show 65 active cases, 331 recovered, and 3 remaining hospitalized. There are now 11,396 negative tests that have also been processed.

The Fond du Lac County Safe Restart Dashboard is also showing a return to “Caution” in the Benchmark Criteria Status Report. Currently the County is in Phase Two, and as of last week, was showing “Green” or “Excellent” in all five benchmarks. But the continued increase in confirmed cases has sent that benchmark back to the “caution” level. It will be interesting to see where the numbers go the next few days and weeks, once the July 4 Holiday testing has been completed, and where the numbers go following the Fond du Lac County Fair, which kicks off on Thursday of this week.
