DPI Issues School Reopening Guidelines For Fall

The Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction issued their guidelines for schools to follow, as they look to reopen this fall. Among the list of options given for schools to consider are:

  • Four full days of classes in person, with the 5th day used as a deep cleaning day

  • 2-day rotation, with a Monday/Tuesday schedule or Thursday/Friday schedule

  • Possible A/B rotation, meaning half the student body reports for a week, then switches with the other half of the student body reporting the next week.

DPI is also recommending one day per week to be used for teaching planning and professional learning. Students would not report to class on those days but would be independently learning remotely.
