Drinking Water Week Poster Contest

The Fond du Lac Water Utility is sponsoring a Drinking Water Week Poster Contest for Drinking Water Week May 1 – 7, 2022. Drinking Water Week is a week set aside each year to bring awareness to the benefits of tap water.

Whether its engineers designing pipe infrastructure, utility crews fixing a main break, or lab technicians ensuring a reliable water supply to your tap, water professionals are there when you need it and are critical to the success of any community. Remember and appreciate what it takes to deliver a safe drinking water supply; intricate maze of underground pipes, treatments plants, pumping stations, and storage basins ensure your water is there when you need it.

The City of Fond du Lac Water Utility are seeking children between 4K and 5th Grade to submit a poster themed “How Drinking Water Effects Your Daily Life”. The poster should show how tap water is essential to our daily lives. Children are encouraged to let their creativity show. Go wild with markers, colored pencils, glitter, or whatever you want to use to make your drawing remarkable. The artwork can be no larger than 11 by 17 inches.
