Drive Sober Campaign Starts This Weekend

A number of law enforcement agencies will kick off a two-week “Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over” campaign Friday. The drunken driving enforcement effort runs through Labor Day. Fond du Lac County Chief Deputy Sheriff Mark Strand says the County has a drunken driving enforcement effort going every weekend, but they will add three deputies especially for that effort Saturday night. He says the County’s participation in the “Drive Sober” campaign will peak over the Labor Day weekend when more law enforcement agencies will join in. Sheboygan County also begins its “Drive Sober” effort this weekend with Sheriff’s Department, Cascade and Plymouth Police out looking for drivers who’ve had too much to drink.
