‘Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over’ Starts Friday

With the unofficial end of summer creeping up on us, authorities are reminding drivers to be responsible behind the wheel. The Wisconsin State Patrol is kicking off their “Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over” campaign on Friday – and it will run through Labor Day. Extra patrols will be on the road looking for impaired drivers, but law enforcement hopes announcing the plan ahead of time will have drivers thinking twice about driving under the influence. Last year in Wisconsin, 161 people died and more than three-thousand were injured in alcohol-related crashes. 24,000 were convicted for operated a vehicle while impaired.
