Driver Hits Building In FDL

Inattentive driving appears to be the cause of an early Wednesday morning accident in the city of Fond du Lac. FDL PD called out just before 2:30 a.m. Wednesday for a report of a vehicle striking a building on S. Brooke St. near W. 2^nd St. According to police reports, the 18-year old driver of the vehicle said he fell asleep while driving. The vehicle struck a fire hydrant and then hit the building. There was no damage to the building, but the vehicle needed to be towed from the scene. The driver was issued citations as a result of the accident.
