Drug Drop Today

Fond du Lac County residents will be able to get rid of their old and unused prescription drugs at six different locations throughout the County during the annual Take Back Day today. The event is being sponsored by Drug Free Communities of Fond du Lac County. Aurora pharmacist Stephanie Jackson says one of the easiest ways for teen to get drugs is through the medicine cabinet at home. Fond du Lac Police Officer Steve Olson says in Fond du Lac the drop off will at the County Fairgrounds, but not the Expo Building. There’s also the permanent drop-off box at the Fond du Lac Police Station. Olson says there are a few things they won’t accept illegal drugs, sharps, and inhalers. Hours for the Fairgrounds drop off are from 9:30 a.m. to Noon. In North Fond du Lac the drop off site is the PDQ Store from 10 a.m. to Noon. The Ripon Medical Center will take drop offs from 9 to 11 a.m. The Campbellsport Police Department is a drop off site from 10 a.m. to Noon, and Agnesian Pharmacy in Waupun will accept drug drop offs from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. today.
