Drug Free Communities Will Receive Special Donation

The family of a Fond du Lac High School graduate who died of a heroin overdose on Thanksgiving Day 2011 is giving back in the hopes that it will spare others the same pain they felt. North Fond du Lac Police Chief Darren Pautsch says the Hass/Christ family lost Tyler Hass to an overdose that day. Jake Hass, Tyler’s brother, will be presenting a check to the Drug Free Communities Thursday afternoon at the Village Hall in North Fond du Lac. Pautsch is the Vice President of the DFC. The money, proceeds of a fundraiser, will be used to combat opiod and heroin abuse in Fond du Lac County. He says Tyler’s family hold fundraisers annually giving the money they raise to agencies and organizations who address those issues. He says it’s tragic for anyone to lose a loved one to drugs. The presentation Thursday will be in the Village Board Room at 4 p.m.
