Dump Truck Drunk Driver Sentenced

A Randolph
man will spend the next three years behind bars for leading police on a chase –
while driving drunk in a dump truck.

35-year old Theodore Tamminga will also spend
three years on extended supervision after entering a no contest plea to felony
Fleeing and his fifth OWI offense. A third felony and various misdemeanors were
dismissed and read in.

Dodge
County
deputies responded
to reports of a domestic incident back in March, when Tamminga took off in a
dump truck – refusing to stop and leading police on a pursuit. Even after
dumping a load of gravel and dirt while eluding the deputy along Highway G,
Tamminga was eventually caught when he got the truck stuck in a field.
