e-cig use up 154% in HS students, new statistics show

The Wisconsin Department of
Health Services says e-cig use among High School Students increased 154% in the
4 year period between 2014 and 2018. In what they call “alarming
statistics,” the DHS says one out of every five students now uses e-cigs.
The U-S Surgeon General has stated that nicotine exposure during adolescence
can harm the developing brain, and can impact learning, memory, and attention.
Use of the e-cigs jumped from just under 8% in 2013 to 20 percent in 2018.
