EAA AirVenture Underway In Oshkosh

Once again this year EAA AirVenture officials are expecting more than 500,000 people to attend the “World’s Greatest Aviation Celebration.” It’s underway in Oshkosh. EAA spokesman Dick Knapinski says they get an early start each day with gates opening at 7 a.m. He says for some flyers it’s a dream come true. He says there will be some new things to see like the F-35 Fighter making its first civilian air show appearance or the Airbus A350, which are some of the cutting-edge aircraft. Country star and aviation enthusiast Dierks Bentley will perform during the kick-off concert tonight at EAA. Gary Sinise and the Lt. Dan Band will also be back performing on Friday.
