Early Morning Pursuit Ends With Two Arrests

The Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Department reported an early Thursday morning pursuit. Deputies were making a traffic stop just before 12:30 a.m. Thursday morning April 8, 2021 on a vehicle for an equipment violation.

The incident took place on I-41 at Townline Rd. in the Town of Eldorado. The suspect vehicle failed to yield to the emergency lights and siren and continued at a high rate of speed. The pursuit continued for about 5 miles before the vehicle pulled over.

Both occupants of the vehicle were taken into custody without incident. The driver was identified as a 33-year-old male from Oshkosh and was cited for speeding and operating after revocation. He is being criminally charged with eluding, possession of methamphetamine, and felony bail jumping.  

The passenger was identified as a 30-year-old male from Menasha and is being criminally charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and felony bail jumping. Assistance at the scene was provided by North Fond du Lac Police Department and Wisconsin State Patrol. There were no injuries or property damage as a result of the pursuit.
