Eden Man Injured in Overnight Crash

A 34-year-old man from Eden was flown to the hospital with
serious injuries after a crash early Saturday morning.

Deputies with the Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office
responded to the area of County Highway V at Greenway Road in the Town of Eden
just before 3 AM Saturday for a report of a single vehicle rollover crash. After
arriving on scene, deputies found a pickup truck on its roof with nobody
around. Investigators say it appeared the pickup was being driven north on
County Highway V, when it left the road, hit a driveway entrance and became
airborne.

After a search of the area and surrounding outbuildings for
anyone involved, the driver – identified as the 34-year-old Eden man – was located
at a nearby home. He was flown by Theda Star Helicopter to Theda Care Medical
Center in Neenah for treatment

A news release says alcohol was a contributing factor in
the crash and the driver was arrested on suspicion of his first OWI and cited
for operating left of center and failing to wear a seat belt.

Assisting at the scene were Campbellsport Ambulance along
with the Eden Fire Department and Eden First Responders. Highway V was closed
for around an hour while crews worked at the scene.
