Efforts To Vaccinate Residents In FDL County Continues

A new month begins, and efforts to get Fond du Lac County residents vaccinated for COVID-19 continue to move ahead.

As of Monday afternoon, just under 41 percent of people in the county have received one dose of a vaccine, while 36 percent are fully vaccinated.

In an effort to make getting the vaccine more convenient for people, Fond du Lac County Executive Allen Buechel tells KFIZ News that the county health department has been working to offer smaller scale vaccine clinics at community events – and recently had a successful day distributing the vaccine at the Fond du Lac Farmer’s Market.

“They got 45 individuals who came forward to have the vaccination. And they felt that, from the response they got from those people, they probably would not have walked into any type of clinic but since it was right there they would have it done. So, we’re looking to head to the (Fond du Lac County) Fair, Walleye Weekend, to have that vaccine available to people and encourage them to come to wherever that point is and have that shot.”

More information about available vaccine clinics in Fond du Lac County can be found on the Health Department’s website.
