Eight Counties See Failing Pollution Grades

A new report from the American Lung Association gives eight Wisconsin counties, including a few near us, failing grades for pollution. The report shows Door, Kenosha, Manitowoc, Milwaukee, Ozaukee, Rock, Sheboygan, and Walworth counties failed tests measuring ozone and particle pollution. Meanwhile, the report gave Ashland, Forest, and Taylor counties in the north and west parts of the state nearly perfect scores and ranking them as areas with some of the cleanest air in the country. The report was comprised of data from the EPA, and aims to give people a better idea of what they’re breathing in.
