Elderly Sheboygan Woman Gets Prison For Infant Daughter’s Death

An elderly Sheboygan woman has been sentenced to prison for the death of her infant daughter 56 years ago.  Sheboygan County Judge Angela Sutkiewicz Wednesday afternoon sentenced 76-year-old Ruby Klokow to 10 years in the state prison.  She’ll be eligible for parole in 2 years.  Klokow was charged in 2010 after her 57-year-old son James contacted police about his suspicions and the case was re-opened. James said he won’t speak to his mother unless she’s really sorry for what she did.  He said he was satisfied with the sentence.  Through a plea agreement Ruby Klokow would have been sentenced to 10 years probation with 45 days in the county jail, but Sutkiewicz, in handing down the prison term, said probation would diminish the seriousness of the crime.
