Election Results Odds And Ends

State
Superintendent Tony Evers (pictured) won reelection Tuesday getting nearly 70 percent of
the vote statewide to easily defeat challenger Lowell Holtz. In Fond du Lac County Evers got about 62 percent of the
vote with 7,405 votes to Holtz’s 4,376.

couple of candidates running for Fond
du Lac
County

offices were uncontested. Longtime
County
Executive Al
Buechel was unopposed and received 9,264 votes and County Circuit Court Judge
Robert Wirtz was also uncontested and got 9,139 votes.

There
were a couple changes at the top in Town and Village races. Eldorado Town
Chairman Gary Miller won reelection and so did Oakfield Town Chairman Russ Ratkowski,
but Taycheedah Town Chairman Jerry Guelig  was defeated by Joseph
Thome and Eden Village President Dennis Immel lost his seat to
challenger Cory St. Mary.
