Electioneering Illegal in Wisconsin

As people head to the polls to cast their votes today, there is always time to remind everyone about electioneering. Electioneering is illegal on Election Day in Wisconsin. Voters are prohibited from bringing fliers, buttons, or even wearing clothes showing support for a certain candidate while at the polls. Voters could be asked to remove buttons or hats – or even turn their shirts inside out. A simple rule of thumb – if the person advertised on your clothing or fliers is on the ballot – you are not allowed to wear it. If they are not on the ballot, it is usually allowed.
