Eleven Arrested For Driving Drunk During St. Patrick’s Day Weekend Enforcement Effort

Results of a coordinated law enforcement effort in Fond du Lac County to crack down on drunken drivers and seat belt violators over the St. Patrick’s Day weekend have been released. According to figures supplied by County Sheriff’s Captain Rick Olig there were 448 traffic stops. Those stops resulted in 260 traffic citations and 251 warnings. Eleven people were arrested for driving drunk and there were 6 other types of arrest. In addition to the Sheriff’s Department, police from Fond du Lac, North Fond du Lac, Ripon, Rosendale, Campbellsport and Waupun, and the State Patrol participated in the effort.
