Evers Approves Hwy. 49 Contract In FDL County

To invest in Wisconsin’s transportation system, Governor Evers signed a $307,635 contract to improve one mile of WIS 49 in the village of Brandon from County TC to the western village limits in Fond du Lac County.

The project is scheduled to begin Monday, July 26. and is a 30-working day contract. Work is expected to be completed in early September 2021. The highway will remain open during construction.

Construction includes milling and paving 2-inches of existing roadway, pedestrian curb ramp replacements, spot curb and gutter replacement, and pavement marking.

Hwy. 49 will remain open using lane closures and flagging operations in the work zone.
