Evers Directs DNR To Re-open State Parks/Forests Friday

Earlier this month Governor Tony Evers ordered the Department of Natural Resources to close state parks and forests in Wisconsin. On Tuesday, Evers directed the same DNR to reopen those 34 state parks and forests. Those parks and forests will open up Friday, with special conditions put in place to allow for social distancing and minimize crowding. The parks will be open limited hours, from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. daily, and will be closed on Wednesdays for cleaning and maintenance. Visitors are being reminded that you will need to present an annual sticker, and those are available only with a credit card, by phone at 888-305-0398.
