Evers Names Chief of Staff, Transition Team Members

Governor-elect Tony Evers has named his campaign manager as
his chief of staff – along with naming a transition team consisting of a former
teacher of the year and the head of a Madison
biotech firm.

On Monday, Evers announced that Maggie Gau will become his chief
of staff once he’s sworn into office in January. She previously worked as chief
of staff for two Democratic state lawmakers before managing Evers’ campaign.

The head of his transition team is JoAnne Anton, who worked for former Senator
Herb Kohl for over 20 years.

Other members include UW-Board of Regents
President Chuck Pruitt, Marinette Marine president and CEO Jan Allman, Exact Sciences
chairman and CEO Kevin Conroy, and former middle school teacher of the year –
Amy Traynor.
