Evers Says “Safer At Home” Is Working

While numbers continue to increase, Governor Tony Evers says they are starting to see a flattening of the curve, and that “Safer At Home” is showing signs of working across the state.

According to the DHS website, as of Tuesday morning (4/14/2020) there were 154 deaths related to COVID-19, while there are 993 patients hospitalized across the state. That equates to a hospitalization rate of roughly 29%. Of those hospitalized, 369 of them are on a ventilator. According to health officials, Wisconsin has a supply of 1,234 ventilators. Currently, there are 20 labs performing tests on a daily basis, and those labs have a capacity of doing 3,756 tests each day.

The latest numbers show 36,769 negative tests that have been returned in the state, with 3,428 positive cases of coronavirus confirmed in Wisconsin.
