Evers Signs Executive Order Creating New Office

Governor Tony Evers is creating a new office with the goal to improve the environment.

At a special Earth Day conference, Evers signed an executive order creating the Office of Environmental Justice.

The governor says the office will work alongside existing efforts in the Department of Administration to help combat climate change in Wisconsin’s rural and underprivileged areas.

The funding for this office had previously been in Evers’s budget but was removed by Republicans.
