Evers signs new Exec order, wants to add 80,000 to Health Care coverage

New Governor Tony Evers signed an executive order Tuesday, requiring the Department of Health Services to come up with an expansion plan for BadgerCare. The new plan would add at least 80,000 to the plan and cover mostly young, childless, able bodied men. The current plan already provides coverage to low income mothers, the elderly and people with disabilities. Evers’ executive order does not say how much the expansion will cost.
