Facility Improvements Continue At Waupun Area Schools

The superintendent of the Waupun Area School District says they are making progress on the $36 million in improvements voters approved in a November 2016 referendum. Tonya Olson notes the Athletic Complex is almost complete. She says, “The weather kind of took a turn on us here. We didn’t quite get done with it in the fall before things froze so that’s pretty well ready to go except for that final surface on the track.” They are also are making progress at the SAGES charter school in Fox Lake. She says, “They have gutted the whole south wing of that building and then they also added on the Library Media Center, which is absolutely gorgeous. They will be finishing up that whole wing right about the last week of March so right when we go on spring break.” SAGES will also have new Music and Art rooms. Olson says the last week of February they will be opening up the new office complex at Rock River Intermediate School. Work continues on a new gym at Meadow View Primary and an addition to the Fitness Center at the High School.
