Family Affair Soul Food Kitchen Investigations Continue

The investigations into the break in and subsequent fire at A Family Affair Soul Food Kitchen in Fond du Lac continue.

Fond du Lac Fire/Rescue was called to the restaurant located on S. Main St., back on September 7, 2021 for reports of a gas leak. At the time, personnel didn’t locate any leak. By Saturday evening, the owner of the restaurant, Arletta Allen, had filed a report with the City of Fond du lac Police Department, stating her restaurant was broken into and that damage of roughly $1300 had been done.

The Fond du Lac PD turned the investigation over to the Ripon Police Department on October 7th. KFIZ News reached out to Ripon Chief of Police, William Wallner, who told us this week he had turned the investigation over to the Wisconsin Department of Criminal Investigation on November 8th, and that the investigation in continuing.

DCI is also investigating the fire that broke out at A Family Affair Soul Food Kitchen on October 10.

ATF Agents obtained a warrant and searched the home of Ms. Allen back on November 2.

Numerous sources have told KFIZ News that people associated with the restaurant have been seen taking equipment out of the restaurant in the past week.

KFIZ News has reached out to Ms. Allen on multiple occasions but she has declined to comment.
