Fatal Accident In Winnebago County

The driver of a van was killed in a head-on collision with a semi on State Highway 21 between Oshkosh and Omro just before noon Wednesday. Winnebago County Sheriff’s officials say no one else was in the van. The semi driver suffered minor injuries. Witnesses told investigators the van was going straight then swerved. Roads were in good condition at the time of the accident. Oshkosh Fire Department and Omro First Responders also responded to the scene. A stretch of the highway was closed for about four hours.
