One person was killed in a three-vehicle accident on I-41 northbound near State Highway 23 late Tuesday morning. Fond du Lac Fire Chief Peter O’Leary says two trucks and a minivan were involved in the crash. One was a semi, another a tow truck hauling a flatbed with vehicles, and the third vehicle was a minivan that was hit by debris. The driver of semi-tractor trailer was uninjured, people in the van weren’t hurt, but the tow truck driver was killed. Two people were killed in a three vehicle accident in nearly the same spot less than two weeks ago. He says the latest accident occurred just south of a sign that warns motorists a lane is closed a mile ahead.
