Two people are dead after a crash in the Town of Fond du
Lac early this (Thursday) morning. The Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office
responded to the single-vehicle crash on County Highway D in the area of
Miranda Way shortly after 1 AM.

A passerby called 9-1-1 reporting a southbound vehicle
had hit a pole, causing the vehicle to split in half. Investigators say the
vehicle was traveling at a high rate of speed when the crash happened. Both
people inside were thrown from the vehicle and died at the scene.

The driver was identified as 24-year-old Louis Bradbury from Fond
du Lac, with the passenger identified as 28-year-old Vincent Eastham also from Fond du Lac.
Deputies say the driver was wearing a seatbelt, while the passenger was not. A
news release says in addition to speed, alcohol is also believed to be a factor
in the crash.
The Wisconsin State Patrol and Town of Fond du Lac Fire
Department assisted at the scene.
