Fatal Two Vehicle Accident At Hwy 23 And FDL County Hwy G

Names have been released from Monday’s fatal accident in the Town of Forest. Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Captain Rick Olig says 56-year-old Kee Thao and 55-year-old Yer Lee of Madison were hurt when an SUV pulled out in front of them on State Highway 23 from County Highway G. Thao, who was driving, suffered non-life threatening injuries, but Lee’s injuries were critical. Both were taken to St. Agnes Hospital in Fond du Lac where Lee died. Sixty-three-year-old Robert Roehrig of Fond du Lac was driving the SUV. He was not hurt in the mishap. All three were wearing their seatbelts. Alcohol was not a factor in the crash. It’s the 12th traffic death in the County this year compared to 10 for all of 2014. The accident occurred at 12:21 p.m.

He says the SUV was northbound on County Highway G and stopped at a stop sign before pulling out into the path of a westbound vehicle. The Fond du Lac man driving that SUV wasn’t injured. A 56-year-old Madison man driving the car and his passenger a 55-year-old Madison woman in the other vehicle were both hurt; the woman had critical injuries. He says CPR was performed on her at the scene until she had a pulse. Both of them were taken to St. Agnes Hospital where the woman died at 1:45 p.m. The accident in the Town of Forest was reported at 12:21 p.m.

Flight for Life was called, but the woman couldn’t be flown from the scene because of her condition. The accident was reported around 12:15 p.m.
