Father-Son Team from Berlin wins 2019 National Walleye Tournament

A father-son team from Berlin were the winners of the
Mercury Marine National Walleye Tournament for 2019. Kurt and Matthew Stobbe weighed
in a total of 36 pounds, eight ounces of fish over the two-day tournament,
bringing in 18 pounds, six ounces on Saturday and 18 pounds, two ounces on
Sunday. The tournament allows teams to bring in five fish on each day of the
tournament. Finishing in second place was the team of Jon Janiak of Fond du Lac
and Jim Demboski of North Fond du Lac – who had a total weight of 35 pounds,
nine ounces. Third place went to the team of Korey and Karl Sprengel of Beaver
Dam, who brought in a two-day total of 33 pounds, nine ounces of fish. The
grand prize winners take home a $4,000 cash prize and a new Tracker Targa V-18
WT Boat with a Mercury Marine 150 horsepower Four Stroke motor.
