FDL Area Asked To Assist Tornado Victims In Kentucky

A Fond du Lac man with Kentucky ties is asking residents in the Fond du Lac area to help him spread a little Christmas cheer for kids in Kentucky.

Brian Stenz calls Fond du Lac home, but prior to moving to the area almost 20 years ago, he lived in Kentucky and was a volunteer firefighter.

He’s hoping to gather donations locally and deliver to kids in Kentucky, in time for Christmas.

Now through Saturday, residents are being asked to drop off new underwear, socks, toys, games, cards, books, gift wrap and scotch tape. Stenz says he’s not accepting clothing at this time.

A local company, Natural Stone Veneers, is assisting with transportation help, and Stenz plans on personally delivering the donations in Dawson Springs, Kentucky.

You can donate the items until 6 p.m. Saturday at Holiday Automotive or Adashun Jones, both located in Fond du Lac.
