FDL Arsonist Will Have To Serve Full Prison Term

The 53-year-old former Fond du Lac man who set fire to the Last Stop Bar and Lanes in Fond du Lac in March of 2010 will have to serve his full sentence. Lyle Huss had asked for a sentence adjustment that would have trimmed 361 days or nearly a year off his sentence. During a hearing in Fond du Lac County Court last Friday Judge Dale English denied the request. In October of 2011 English sentenced Huss to 7 years in prison and 15 years of extended supervision. Assistant District Attorney J. Foss Davis says by all accounts Huss has done very well in prison. Huss had set fire to the bar because it had become a financial burden. The fire caused over $350,000 in damage and the building had to be torn down. Huss will be released from prison on November 14th of 2018. He is currently serving time at Sanger Powers Correctional Center in Oneida, Wisconsin. (Fond du Lac Fire/Rescue photos).
