FDL Attorney Announces Candidacy For State Assembly Seat

Update:

Fond du Lac attorney Paul Czisny is hoping the third time is the charm when it comes to running for the 52nd State Assembly seat. He ran for the seat in 2010 and again in 2012, losing both times to current State Representative Jeremy Thiesfeldt. Czisny says since Republicans captured the majority there has been a decline in the quality of life from protection of the state’s natural resources to funding for schools. He says funding transportation doesn’t just mean maintaining our roads. He says a mistake was made when the state took a pass on Interstate Rail in 2011. He says unfortunately a survey found Wisconsin leads the nation in one unenviable category. He says we are number one in the decline of the middle class and he says a big part of that has to do with the decrease in education spending. Czisny feels the minimum wage should be raised, that Voter ID has disenfranchised voters, and that passing right to work was a mistake.
