FDL Board Of Education Will Interview Candidates Tuesday

The Fond du Lac Board of Education will hold a special meeting Tuesday afternoon to interview candidates for the two open board seats.

Mark Strand and Nick Tiefke announced their resignations within days of each other back in August. Tiefke had been outspoken in regards to the district’s “mask optional” plan to open the school year, and said in his resignation that he regretted the decisions he made “have negatively impacted personal and professional relationships for myself and my family”.

KFIZ News reached out to Nicole Noonan, District Coordinator of Communications for the Fond du Lac School District, who told us there are 11 candidates being interviewed. The board is set to meet Tuesday afternoon at 4:45 p.m.
