FDL Cab Driver Who Hit Tree Dies Of Natural Causes

The 75-year-old Fond du Lac man who drove a taxi cab off Hawthorne Drive and into a tree last week has died. Richard Kunasch died at ThedaCare Regional Medical Center in Neenah Tuesday.  The accident happened on January 4^th just before 8:30 a.m. He was traveling east on Hawthorne Drive just east of Buttermilk Creek Drive, when his vehicle drifted across the lanes of traffic and left the roadway striking a tree. An autopsy at the Fond du Lac County Medical Examiner’s Office Wednesday determined Kunasch died from natural causes from underlying medical issues including cardiac disease. His death is not the result of the crash.
