FDL Children’s Chorale Concert Dec. 8th

The Fond du Lac Children’s Chorale will perform their annual holiday concert,
Sunday, December 8th at 2pm. at Ascension Church, 901 County Road V, corner of
Cty Hwy V and Pioneer Road. Under the direction of David Hein, artistic
director, this year’s concert is titled “Gather Near.” The program includes a
variety of familiar and new music of the season. Included in the concert, the
elementary chorus will sing an arrangement of the timeless favorite “Have
Yourself a Merry Little Christmas,” from which the concert title derives. The
middle school chorus will sing a musical setting of the charming Robert Frost
poem, “Stopping by Woods on a Snowy Evening.” Both choruses join together on the
perennial favorites, “We Need a Little Christmas,” and “It’s a Most Wonderful
Time of the Year.” The Children’s Chorale is accompanied by Pat Siekierke. Guest
instrumentalists for the afternoon are Cyndi Nienhaus, flute, and Arpad Muranyi,
cello. For tickets or information contact the Children’s Chorale business
manager, Kristin Bahr, at 920-322-8943. In it’s 15th season, the Fond du Lac
Children’s Chorale serves children throughout Fond du Lac county drawing from
public and parochial schools. It was founded as a project of the Fond du Lac
Arts Council, and now is a resident ensemble of the Thelma Sadoff Center for the
Arts. Membership is open to all fourth through eighth grade children, by
audition. Auditions are scheduled at intervals throughout the school year, to
