FDL City Council Approves Special Use Permits

The Fond du Lac City Council last night approved five special use permits they ranged from permission for installation of an electronic message center sign at Parkside Elementary to solar paneling for the Motherhouse at the Congregation of the Sisters of St. Agnes. Several Council members including Brian Kolstad thought the solar paneling request set a good example for environmental responsibility and energy use. The Council also approved a special use permit for Jor-Mac Company and Empire Coatings who will be using the industrial site at 475 South Seymour Street (property shown above). Community Development Director Dyann Benson says Jor-Mac will be expanding its operations to Fond du Lac with Empire Coating also using the facility. She says it has the appropriate zoning. The Council also approved annexation of a single family home on Guindon Boulevard into the City.
