FDL City Council Preview
The Fond du Lac City Council tonight will consider amending a City ordinance that would give homeowners more time to pay for the replacement of lead pipes for water service to their homes. If the Council approves the ordinance change homeowners could pay off assessments of over $500 for replacement of those pipes over a ten year period. City Councilman Brian Kolstad says some people need the extra time to pay that off given their financial situation. Also during the meeting there will a proclamation honoring Assistant Fire Chief Steve Beer for his 27 years and two months of service with the City. Beer is leaving the Department to become a Fire Chief in Hutchinson, Kansas. The Council meets at 6 p.m. at the City-County Government Center.
