FDL City Council Will Tour Wastewater Treatment Facility

The Fond du Lac City Council will tour the Wastewater Treatment and Resource Recovery Facility during a special meeting tonight. Public Works Director Jordan Skiff says they are currently doing a total maximum daily load study and the outcome and new standards for phosphorus levels could have a big financial impact on the City in the coming years. He says the tour should help the Council better understand what the regulations are likely to be, what the impacts are, and where dollar figures are coming from that they will see during budget time this fall. The tour begins at 6 p.m. at the facility at 700 North Doty Street and is expected to last a couple of hours.
