FDL County 32nd In Health Rankings In State

According to recent County Health Rankings, Fond du Lac County finished 32nd among the state’s 72 counties in total health outcomes. The County finished 18th in terms of length of life, but was 45th for quality of life. Fond du Lac County finished 29th in health behaviors. Among those behaviors 18 percent of adults surveyed say they smoke and 31 percent of the County’s population is obese. Fond du Lac County public health nurse supervisor Joyce Mann says, “The County Health Rankings data demonstrates the importance of working with a variety of community partners to improve the health of the Fond du Lac County community.” Ozaukee County had the healthiest and Menomonee County the least healthy County. The rankings were prepared by the University of Wisconsin Population Health Institute and the Robert Woods Johnson Foundation. For more on Fond du Lac County’s rankings click here
